FAQ's

How can I make a booking?

You can make a booking in one of our self-catered holiday cottages via our website, via email info@grainary.co.uk or by telephone on 01723 870026.

We would always recommend booking online via our website as we cannot guarantee emails or phone calls are picked up straight away.

What deposit do you require?

A 30% deposit is required to secure your stay and the balance due no later than 30 days prior to your date of arrival. Should you book within 30 days of your arrival date then an amount equal to the full balance is due upon booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

In case of cancellation, we would recommend taking our travel insurance (we do not endorse any particular provider).

Our full cancellation policy can be found as part of our terms and conditions

What happens once I have made a booking?

You will receive an email confirming your booking and deposit payment. We will then be in touch via email 30 days prior for your balance payment.

We will then send you our guidebook full of lots of handy tips and information about your stay with us 10 days before your stay.

What time is check in/ out?

Check in time is no earlier than 4pm. This allows us to thoroughly clean and prepare each cottage in between guests.

Check out is no later than 10am to allow us to prepare for incoming arrivals.

Can I bring a dog?

We allow a maximum of 2 dogs per cottage. We do ask that pets are well behaved and not left in on their own nor are allowed on the furniture.

What is provided in the cottages?

All cottages are fully equipped with microwaves, gas hob/ovens, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, fridge/freezers and dishwashers. We also supply a starter pack of toilet rolls, bin bag, tea towel and oven glove, washing up liquid plus hand soap.

For safety reasons we do not supply cleaning products.

We also supply all bed linen and a set of towels per guest.

Are there laundry facilities?

We have a designated laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryer plus clothes airer’s.

Is there parking?

Each of our cottages has ample parking outside.

Are the grounds shared?

Each cottage has an enclosed seating area outside which is picket-fenced. There are ample walks around the site. Please note we are a working farm therefore all guests need to ensure safety guidance is followed.

Do you allow group bookings?

As our cottages are in a rural location for couples, friends and families to enjoy, we cannot accept bookings for hen or stag parties. Should we feel a booking is in breach of our terms and condition’s we reserve the right to cancel.

Can we order a supermarket delivery?

Yes – all major supermarkets deliver to us. Just state our address and your cottage name in the “other info” section.

Do you have wifi?

All of our cottages have free wifi available. Please note that we are in a rural area therefore signal may not always be as strong as built-up areas.
