What information do we collect and why?
Cookies
By browsing our website, we may use “cookies” which aims to enhance your general website experience. The Grainary does not hold any personally identifiable data through our use of cookies (including google analytic and google maps), only the information that you choose to share with us. Please note some features of our website may not work if you choose to de-configure your cookie settings.
Bookings
When you search for a break, we may collect various pieces of information including the dates you are wishing to enquire about, type of accommodation and the number of people in your party. We may also gather additional information which you choose to share with us (e.g. personal requirements which may affect your potential stay). This is to ensure that we can assist with your booking and the performance of a contract should you wish to stay with us. When you make a booking we collect any contact details which you provide to us. These may include, however are not exhaustive, your name, email address, postal address, dates of booking, financial details to authorise payment, contact details of other party members and any other information which you may provide to us as a requisite for your booking. The information we collect when you make a booking is held for the performance of a contract. We may also contact you shortly after your booking and ask you to leave feedback to enable us to improve our services.
Marketing
From time to time, we may contact you to update you on the facilities on offer at Wrea Head Country Cottages or to let you know of any offers which we may have available. This may be via email or post. You have the opportunity to opt out at any time by contacting us at info@grainary.co.uk .
Other information
In the event of an accident, we are required by law to complete an accident form which may contain personal details including your name, address and the incident in question.

Free to Book : our online booking engine for the performance of your booking
Stripe Payments Europe Ltd : our secure payment facility which enables our guests to safely pay for their breaks
Booking.com : to allow guests to book a stay with us
Mailchimp : to assist with the sharing of marketing information
We only use your personal data for the specific purposes intended, which are contained within this policy.
Security
We keep your personal data secure by following internal policies of best practice and training for our staff. We also use SSL technology on our website.
In the unlikely event of a breach of our security, we will inform the relevant regulatory body within 72 hours and, should it contain your personal data, we shall also inform you.
We respect your rights as an individual therefore you have the opportunity to contact us at any time regarding:
